2012-08-01 06:38:55Generic and bland or original and tasteful... where does your company fit in? Everyone would choose the latter wouldn't you think? Of course they would! No good business owner should ever lack the ambition for owning a great company...but does your website reflect that? It's a sad truth but people do judge books by their cover (consumers - your clients), so why not present a book that looks like it's worth reading? A great website portrays a great company and similarly a boring website makes your company look bad.
Many companies out there are offering cheap solutions to your "website needs" in forms of templates (cookie cutters). Simple, fast and cheap! Is that what your business really deserves?
There are a few things you should look for when choosing a company to build your website; their portfolio of previous work, testimonies/reviews and cost. In their portfolio you should be able to see their level of work in terms of appeal and functionality. Secondly, find out what people have to say about the company. Ethics and personality can really make or break the overall experience. Lastly, cost is important to review. If it is inexpensive, chances are there isn't going to be a lot of work put into it and the quality will reflect the time invested into the site.
